A 3 panel shoji screen painting featuring lost vistas of Diamond Head on O'ahu, Hawai'i. The iconic volcano of the Hawaiian Islands is reimagined as it existed over a thousand years ago when native trees covered the land and teemed with O'ahu 'elepaio birds. Today one can only see these types of forests in remote valleys and mountain ridges. Diamond Head was originally called "Lēʻahi" by ancient Hawaiians. Digital print on laminated rice paper, mounted on African mahogany frames. Shoji screens by Shoji Hawaii.
